La Veta Pines RV Park in La Veta, Colorado is offering an innovative pricing strategy to entice owners of Vintage RVs to stay at their park. New owners Greg and Lisa Garret are fans of all things vintage, including Vintage RVs. Since purchasing the park in 2019 they have been working to spruce it up while maintaining its vintage charm. To continue with the vintage theme, they are now encouraging vintage RVs to come to stay a couple of nights at a reduced price.
Vintage RVs receive a discount off the cost of a two-night stay based on the age of their RV. “For RVs older than 1970 you pay your year” explains Greg. “A 1958 Shasta pays $58 for two nights, a 1961 Airstream pays $61, and so on. The older your rig the less you pay.” The regular price for two nights is $70. “We love having vintage rigs in the park and we want to see more,” said Greg. “When one shows up, everyone wants to see it and hear the story behind it. When two show up on the same day it really creates a buzz.”
La Veta pines is a small RV park located on Colorado Highway 12, the Highway of Legends Scenic Byway. Nestled between the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre de Cristo mountains, the small town is home to several shops, restaurants, and art galleries all within walking distance from the RV park. Hiking, biking, and fishing are available in the nearby San Isabel National Forest.
